Complete internet and written surveys for cash payments. Earn from 25 pence up to £15 when you fill out a free online survey. Free information and help to get paid in cash payments, cheque payments, shopping coupons or prizes when you complete free paid surveys for cash:

Surveys for cash: There are many UK and international companies who will pay you in cash payments, cheque payments, shopping coupons or prizes when you complete paid surveys.

The online surveys do not take long to do - often a few minutes and usually no more than 20 minutes. The longer the survey the higher the cash payment you will receive. There are links to many paid survey websites and surveys for cash sites at the Borntoloaf.co.uk website.

Most of the free paid surveys can be done on the internet, at the websites of the survey companies, such as Mysurvey and Gratis Points and Surveys. Other paid surveys will be e-mailed to you with a link to the website or survey form from UK companies like Toluna and Ipsos and Survey Central and Populuslive and New Vista Live and Product Testing and Toluna DOI+Survey and Global Test Market.

These should be completed as soon as possible when you get send the e-mail from the surveys for cash website because there is often a set number of applicants and a time and date the paid survey needs to be completed by. For example Yougov supply information to many newspapers and TV or radio news programmes based on the results of the surveys they receive. This is how survey sites make their money - they sell the results as research and opinion polls - you get paid for helping them with honest answers.

Most free paid surveys are tick boxes, with space at the end for any comments you wish to make. Some online surveys may involve you watching an advert or a film trailer. This might necessitate you downloading some software such as quick time or real player from the surveys for cash site. These generally give you a higher rate of pay. Other surveys will ask you to evaluate a product which you will have been previously sent to try. I've received anything from dog food, chocolate, drinks, deodorant and toilet cleaners to review and then answer a survey.

Earn A Living Completing Surveys

Is it possible to make a living by completing surveys full time?

The answer is yes and no! Join as many paid survey sites as possible and you should get surveys for cash most days. I generally get one to three a day from You Gov, Ciao, Lightspeed Research, Ipsos and Pinecone Research. These can soon mount up to a generous monthly income. Combine this with the jobs listed to the left and you could make a steady and regular income. Most of my income comes from doing surveys, questionnaires and Mystery Shopping.

Online Surveys

Online surveys are also called questionnaires, polls, focus groups, quizzes and opinions. Most of the surveys for cash websites will let you know how much you will be paid and how long each survey will take. The majority do a few screening questions to ensure that you fulfil the clients criteria for each survey. These are generally your sex, age and job. Some online surveys websites, like Ipsos, will pre-screen you which save you a great deal of time. They can do this by keeping your profile up to date, so do complete any reminders that sites send you. This will help increase your earnings from paid online surveys.

Paid Surveys

Paid surveys for cash payments do not take much time and can be rewarding and fun. Each paid survey can be interesting and I often learn from each survey, especially the ones about new films and products. In addition to joining the UK survey websites it could be worth joining paid surveys websites from other countries such as America who will pay you directly into a Paypal account which will convert the money into UK sterling.

Some paid survey sites allow you to collect points for higher value cash and voucher payments. It can often be worth saving up as much points as possible and only cashing in the points once a year to get better rewards.

Do consider completing surveys that offer free prize draws and competitions. I've received several wins from sites such as Lightspeed Research by doing these surveys.

Online Surveys For Cash
The disadvantage to completing online surveys for cash payments is that you may receive an increase in spam e-mails. You can overcome this by having a separate e-mail address to use when signing up and registering at survey sites. Alternatively use an e-mail spam filter such as mailwasher.

Do I Have To Pay Tax from Survey Earnings

I am often asked do I have to pay tax from survey earnings? I have always put these earning on my income tax self assessment form and declared all earnings from online surveys to the tax office. This includes cash, cheque or shopping voucher or coupon payments. However one year I was randomly picked to have my accounts assessed by a tax inspector. This process was not as frightening as it sounds! The outcome was that my accounts and that chosen year's self assessment were correct but with one exception. My earnings from completing online and offline surveys and questionnaires were not taxable and I received a nice tax refund.

So should I declare payments from surveys to the tax office? Now I am not sure because strictly speaking survey payments are still paid out for working online and are a form of income. Yet a tax inspector said not. Though I do worry about future inspectors saying that they are I get charged for tax evasion or fraud! So my practice is to always declare each and every payment made from doing a survey from the £4 Pinecone luncheon vouchers (nicely spent at Kentucky Fried Chicken and McDonalds!) to the £10 Ipsos payments (spent at Boots and Argos). I much prefer to err on the side of caution, rather than not pay my dues to the Government. Especially when I get a £50 cheque from YouGov, a £20 cheque from Mutual Points or MyVoice or a large US cheque from Global Test Market, it really does not seem right not to pay income tax. And do remember that income from surveys can be traced, especially if you choose to have automatic payments directly into your bank account from a survey web site such as Ciao.

Perhaps the best advice about whether or not to pay tax on survey payments is to check the policy with your local tax authority or accountant for expert advice.

My Survey

My Survey will provide you with surveys to complete in exchange for gifts and rewards. My Survey was formerly called MyTNS but changed their name and site in January 2008. MySurvey kept the same functions as My TNS and introduced many more functions. This includes being able to check your points balance at the MySurvey website at www.uk.mysurvey.com (please be aware that the www.mysurvey.com leads to a different site which will be reviewed by www.findextrawork.co.uk soon) and being able to redeem your My Survey points at uk.mysurvey.com and a new contact form so that any questions about My Survey can be answered promptly.

Existing users of MyTNS.com can still log into the UK mySurvey.com website with the same username and password. This will then take them to their My Survey personal page. Though MySurvey does not offer surveys for cash payments the rewards and gifts remain good offers. In addition My Survey allows you to collect points for your existing Nectar card which can be redeemed at the grocery shop Sainsbury’s and in addition you can save for Amazon vouchers to spend at www.amazon.co.uk or www.amazon.com for International surveys. This gives each survey you complete a sort of cash value since you save money not having to buy CDs, DVDs, Computer Games, accessories and much more. Findextrawork know of people who save their points up to spend at Christmas time for Xmas gifts for their family thus saving them cash and the headache of high street shopping.

MySurvey also allows you to donate your survey earnings to charity rather than take surveys for cash payments. For example this year’s UK MySurveys charity project is to support, in association with UNICEF, a pre-school education project in Cambodia. Sadly 14% of children in Cambodia will have left school by the time they reach the age of five because they need to help support their family and work. The charity helps support them in their education and you can help the kids by donating your MySurvey points directly to the charity. The charity is hoping to train over 950 pre school teachers to help educate over 14,500 children aged between three and five years.

All active My Survey members can benefit from entry to their large prize draws that are held four times a year. Each quarterly competition has large prizes. For example the first prize draw of 2008 has a top prize of 500 euros which will be paid to the winner in their currency of choice. Entry is automatic when you fill out the fun profiling surveys at UKMySurvey.

The UKMySurvey website has some testimonials and reviews by active members and on the homepage it lists the amount of points that members collected in the previous month and the cash value that the surveyors shopped with their points.

Earn Money Surveys

Below are some commonly asked questions about earn money surveys that findextrawork.co.uk have been able to give answers too. If this earn money doing surveys page has not answered your question then please feel free to e-mail findextrawork using the contact link on the left of this surveys for cash payments page.

One common earn money from surveys query that we are often asked is:

I have visited and joined your website and found it most helpful, thank you. I am interested in the earn money from surveys section. I am dubious of giving my details online to companies and websites I do not really know in case I become the victim of a scam. What details would the online survey websites need for them to pay money into my bank account and how secure are these sites you have listed? Can you please advise me to this affect?

The answer to these survey questions was:

Most of the earn money online surveys sites need personal details so that they can target surveys to specific user types that match the requirements of companies and products under review. For example a car manufacturer would need to know what you currently drive, your age, how often you drive a car and if you use it for work or just social pleasure. There are also general questions asked by survey companies which are demographic such as the town or village and county you live in, age, address, your number of children, type of house and if it is rented, owned or mortgaged, pets, etc. So if your personal details say that you own a dog or cat you will be targeted for say dog food surveys. The same goes for someone with a baby, toddler or teenager. Such products to take a survey about will be targeted to you. After all there is no point in taking a survey about nappies if you are single and have no children. You will find it boring and the company will not process the data or they may and it could affect the survey results. So you will usually need to give your age, date of birth, address, number of children, type of house, pets, etc. The more information you provide the more chances of getting surveys each day to complete for money or voucher payment.

I have never had to give out bank details to any earn money online surveys site and not had any problems with the survey sites listed on both websites I run which are www.borntoloaf.co.uk and www.findextrawork.co.uk. Payment is usually by shopping vouchers such as a £10 Argos voucher, paypal or cheque. I particularly like the Pinecone Research Panel method of payment which is £4 luncheon vouchers which can be spent at supermarkets like Tesco, Morrisons or Sainsbury's. I also spend them at MacDonalds, Burger King or Kentucky Fried Chicken. These luncheon vouchers in exchange for completing surveys online can also be spent at Starbucks Coffee, Cafe Uno, Bella Italia, Waitrose, Nandos, Coffee Republic, Iceland, Pret a Manger, Yates, Asda , Greggs, Bagel Factory and JD Wetherspoon so most people should have no difficulty spending their reward for doing surveys.

I would not recommend giving out bank details or passwords to anyone online and this includes survey sites, though those listed at findextrawork.co.uk should not ask for these details since they reward you with vouchers, coupons or cheques. Though I would trust sites like YouGov, Ciao, Ipsos, Pine Cone etc with my bank account details should they have direct payment into my bank account. Chris

Mobile Phone Research Panel

Join M Metrics the research company who will pay you to help them in their mobile phone research panel. You will get an immediate £15 for joining and then £5 for each month thereafter.
